Curious about the details. Committed to quality.
I'm Shivani Solanki, a Test Analyst who enjoys looking beyond the obvious to understand how software really works. With a background in IT support and hands-on experience in software testing, I bring a practical mindset, attention to detail and a curiosity for exploring what happens when things don't go as expected. I believe good testing goes beyond finding defects — it's about asking the right questions, challenging assumptions and helping create more reliable experiences for users.
Tools and testing techniques.
Practical skills I use across different areas of software quality assurance.
UI Testing & Automation
Selenium WebDriver, C#, NUnit, Page Object Model, cross-browser testing and foundational Playwright.
API Testing
Postman, Newman, REST API validation and response verification.
Database Testing
SQL Server, MongoDB and data validation.
Performance Testing
JMeter, load testing and response-time analysis.
Test Design & Quality
Test scenarios, BDD with Gherkin, UAT, regression testing and defect reporting.
Additional Tools & Practices
Jira, Git, GitHub, Docker, Agile/Scrum, accessibility testing and basic security testing.
A thoughtful approach to quality.
Analytical Thinking
Looking for patterns, edge cases and unexpected behaviour rather than stopping at the obvious.
Clear Communication
Explaining findings in a structured way so others can understand and act on them.
Attention to Detail
Checking assumptions and validating results carefully.
Curiosity & Learning
Exploring new approaches and continuously developing my testing skills.
Experience.
A combination of software testing practice and hands-on IT support.
Test Analyst Intern
MVP Studio
At MVP Studio, I analyse business requirements and acceptance criteria to define test scenarios, edge cases and test data. I perform functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, negative and boundary testing, along with system and integration testing across UI, API and database layers to validate application behaviour and consistent data flow.
I validate REST APIs using Postman and Newman, checking payloads, headers, status codes and error handling, and verify data persistence and activity log creation in SQL Server and MongoDB. I also develop Selenium WebDriver automation using C#, NUnit and the Page Object Model (POM) to support critical UI workflows and regression checks.
Additionally, I write BDD scenarios in Gherkin, manage defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence, and collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team. I use Docker for API testing environments and Git/GitHub for version control.
IT Support Officer
Independent Living and Mobility Equipment
At Independent Living and Mobility Equipment, I provide Level 1 technical support across hardware, software, network and business application issues, including Windows, Microsoft 365, Neto and MYOB. I investigate incidents by reproducing issues, identifying root causes and applying appropriate resolutions to help maintain reliable day-to-day operations.
I log, prioritise and track incidents in Freshdesk, communicate technical findings clearly to users and stakeholders, and help resolve issues efficiently. Alongside IT support, I have also supported the business's online presence through Google Ads campaigns and search engine optimisation (SEO).
